Section 1:1. Art Criticism process: Is first describing your artwork which is basically is writing what you see in the artwork, the image you see, how would you describe it over your phone, which art elements, and describe the color scheme. Second, is that you analyze the artwork, which you list art element and design principles. Color, value, line, shape/form, texture, and space. Also balance, emphasis, harmony, variety, movement/rhythm, and proportion. Third, Interpret the artwork. which is describing the mood? what feeling is communicated? what are represented? what is the story being told? Fourth is you judge judge the artwork. so basically. so basically you say what do you think of the artwork? is it successful? why or why not? support your opinion with evidence or criteria. (Art skills, meaning creative, and realistic). ِ2. a. This a drawing of a car in watercolor. Its a 3d image showing 2 point perspective. This drawing I would basically describe it as a realistic drawing a that shows small looking trees to make it look like it's far, and then it moves to bigger and bigger trees to show how closer it gets from the view of 2 point perspective, and the car seemed to have different angled lines to show the 2 point perspective too. This drawing had light bright colors to show that its sunny in the morning without actually showing the sky and the sun. b. This drawing of 2 point perspective with watercolor, according to 2 point perspective lines are differently to show the 2 point perspective especially the lines of the cars, so it's not straight. This piece is a mix of warm and cool colors. I have used different values of the colors when doing the layering method. I chose this picture because I likes how the car showed emphasis in this pic, the colors are all different natural colors, and the car was just this neutral color that was different from all the drawing and kind of catches your eyes when u look at the picture. In this drawing also is showed the variety of trees in repetition. c. I think this mood would be a happy. Because this shows how bright the colors is, and also I filled my piece with all this different colorful values trees like, green, pink and brown. The story of this is to show the person the different way of seeing the car in 2 point perspective. D. I think this is one of my best artworks. I think I was successful in drawing what I want the judge to say about my piece. I made sure that I made a happy mood wand showing my emphasis in my car. I think I was also successful to show my 3 d 2 pint perspective. This drawing is also so realistic and my art skills were really improved at that point. 7) This class's point is acknowledging new things and different methods of art. A good example would be of the new method of making an art piece like stippling or charcoal drawing. I never knew these different techniques till i took this class. One of the great things that I learned from the very beginning of this class is pencil drawing. At first when you hear pencil drawing you just think of drawing with a regular writing pencil. But then i learned in this class that pencil drawing is more deep, that there is different pencil hues like 2h, h, bh, b, 2b......etc . That helped me a lot of improving my pencil drawing skills and pieces. This class helped me show creativity in my pieces and the learning helped express what i want to be showed out of this piece, what i want other to see. 5. Artist use different themes, elements, lines, techniques and texture in art express their emotions and their feelings. Artist want to send a message from their art, sometimes they try to tell a story by their drawing. Art is a word for creativity and thinking out of the box. Artist sometimes not only make amazing looking pieces, but also art can be used to fulfill your personal needs, like sculpture. People use clay to make all this different things. They use pottery to make cups, mugs and all those different gadgets to use. When cameras where not available, people used to draw the pictures, and make sculpture pieces of all different historical events and people. Personally I have enjoyed art the most to think differently and make creativity into my pieces. 10. I like drawing people time the most. But I always had hard time drawing it. I didn't have any skills, and I didn't know how to draw the eyes, or the shape of the face, especially where everything should be located at the face and the size of it. But this project helped me a lot in improving improving my skills. I learned how much the forehead is of the face, which i used to not consider the forehead at all on the face back before knowing that it takes about half of the face. Also I used to not know how to draw a realistic eye and nose, but this project seemed to turn out really successful according to my last drawing of a person. I developed a lot from this project in such short notice, even if the drawing wasnt that successful, but i know that the next, its only gonna get better.

What i did is basically i cut pieces of paper and glued them standing up in the shape of of the first letter of my first, second and last name (MAE). Then i drew it and i drew the shades as well in different hues.
I used first watercolor, of light colors, just to start up my piece with light colors on my piece. Then i added some ink for my back ground of blue and pink color. Then some acrylic colors. Then i drew a dog with black marker and black paint. I added some white print circles with a straw. it was animal, and i chose to draw a dog with black paint to make it look obvious nad unique in the piece.
I used 2 point perspective.
This photo is a car that i took picture of because its background had trees that shows the 2 point perspective more. The most difficult thing in this project is showing your perspective into your piece and make it look 3d. The first warm up of the tree helped me a lot because my piece contain lots of trees, and this method looked more realistic than the way i would've done it. the second warm up for the perspective made it clear in what position should be the point and where the lines connect at and how to make it look 3d as possible. |
